SpeakerSplit for Claude
Split a recording by speaker, from a Claude chat
Give Claude a link to a podcast, interview or meeting and ask it to split the speakers. SpeakerSplit puts each person on their own track, and Claude hands you the download links and the transcript.

Can Claude split audio on its own?
No. Claude chats take documents and images, not audio files. The SpeakerSplit connector does the listening and the cutting, and Claude tells you what came back.
Set it up in Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose "Add custom connector".
- Paste the address https://speakersplit.io/mcp
- Choose "Connect".
- Sign in to SpeakerSplit and press "Allow".
Getting your recording to Claude
Paste a public link to the file. For a file on your computer, Claude Code can use create_upload to send it to SpeakerSplit first.
What to type
- "Split this interview into one track per speaker:" and paste the link.
- "Split this podcast. The host is Jane Doe and the guest is Sam Lee."
- "Split this recording into WAV files, then tell me who spoke the most."
What you get back
- One audio file per speaker, as MP3 or WAV. Each runs the full length of the recording and is silent while that person isn’t talking, so the tracks line up in an editor.
- Names instead of Speaker 1 and Speaker 2. Say who is in the recording, up to 10 people, and the tracks and transcript use their names.
- A transcript with every line labelled, which you can also ask for as SRT or VTT subtitles.
